Why this product is good

  • Simple and intuitive interface for creating polls and surveys quickly
  • Useful for gathering real-time feedback from audiences or communities
  • Typically low or no cost to get started with basic polling features
  • Shareable links make it easy to distribute polls across social media and messaging platforms
  • Instant results and visualizations help interpret responses at a glance

  • Content creators and social media managers engaging their audiences
  • Teachers and educators running classroom polls or quizzes
  • Event organizers gauging attendee preferences
  • Anyone needing a fast, low-cost way to collect informal opinions

Overall verdict

  • Easy ML for Java appears to be a lightweight, approachable library aimed at bringing machine learning capabilities to Java developers without requiring deep ML expertise or switching to Python-centric ecosystems. It seems suitable for developers who want to integrate basic ML functionality into existing Java applications with minimal overhead, though it likely lacks the depth, community support, and cutting-edge features of major frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.

Why this product is good

  • Native Java implementation avoids the need for language interop or JNI bridges to Python-based ML libraries
  • Simpler API design makes it more accessible for Java developers without extensive ML background
  • Documentation via GitBook suggests an organized, readable learning path for newcomers
  • Lightweight footprint can be beneficial for integrating into existing Java-based systems without heavy dependencies
  • Good fit for educational purposes or prototyping simple ML concepts within a Java codebase

Recommended for

  • Java developers who want to experiment with ML without learning Python
  • Small to medium projects requiring basic classification, regression, or clustering functionality
  • Students or educators teaching foundational ML concepts using Java
  • Teams with existing Java infrastructure who need lightweight ML integration without major architectural changes
  • Prototyping and proof-of-concept work rather than production-grade, large-scale ML systems

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing PingPolls and Easy ML for Java.

What makes your product unique?

PingPolls's answer

PingPolls is unique because it's designed to capture insight, not just answers. Our uniqueness stems from three core pillars:

  • Measuring Preference Intensity with Certiscore: This is our biggest differentiator. While other tools tell you what people chose, our proprietary Certiscore Algorithm analyzes the response time—how long it took them to decide. This allows us to generate a quantifiable score of preference intensity, revealing how strongly a respondent feels about their choice. You can finally see the difference between a beloved favorite and a "slightly better than the rest" option.
  • An Integrated AI Research Assistant: PingPolls isn't just a passive tool; it's an active partner. Our AI helps you at every stage, from generating a complete, well-structured survey draft from a simple prompt to recommending the best platforms and times to distribute it for maximum engagement.
  • A Truly Versatile Form Builder: Unlike rigid platforms, we allow you to combine our specialized features—like the Priority Ranker and A/B Deck—with traditional form questions all within a single, seamless survey. This, combined with deep visual customization, creates an engaging experience that significantly boosts response rates.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

PingPolls's answer

Our primary audience consists of professionals and academics who understand that the quality of their decisions depends directly on the quality of their insights. We serve three main groups:

  1. Market Researchers: These individuals are tasked with validating business ideas, identifying market needs, and prioritizing features. They choose PingPolls because it prevents them from building something nobody truly loves by showing the true intensity of market desires.
  2. User Researchers & Product Managers: They need to understand user behavior and gather feedback to build better products. They value PingPolls for its ability to effortlessly engage any demographic with simple, intuitive forms that don't feel like a test, ensuring they get authentic feedback from all user segments.
  3. Academic Researchers: They require nuanced, authentic data for their studies. They use PingPolls to move beyond simplistic linear scales and capture unfiltered opinions, leading to more robust and credible research findings.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

PingPolls's answer

You should choose PingPolls if you're serious about making decisions based on deep, accurate data rather than superficial metrics. Here’s how we stack up:

  • PingPolls vs. Google Forms/SurveyMonkey: These tools are excellent for basic data collection, but that's where they stop. They collect answers; PingPolls delivers insights. We provide a richer, more engaging user experience to get higher response rates and then analyze the data on a deeper level with our Certiscore Algorithm and AI-powered sentiment analysis.
  • PingPolls vs. Typeform: Typeform excels at creating beautiful, conversational forms. However, while they make the experience pretty, the data underneath is still just a simple ranking or choice. PingPolls quantifies the conviction behind those choices, ensuring your marketing and product decisions are based on robust, quantifiable data, not just aesthetics.
  • PingPolls vs. Maze: Maze is a powerful tool, but it's highly specialized for product and user testing within specific design flows. PingPolls is built for understanding people, not just products. Our intuitive interface is effortless for any demographic—from kids to executives—ensuring you can gather feedback from a much broader audience without technical friction.

What's the story behind your product?

PingPolls's answer

The story of PingPolls began with a deep frustration with the status quo of online research. The founders saw that countless critical business and research decisions were being made based on flawed data. They identified three core problems: surveys were too boring to get responses, too long and complex to get accurate data, and too superficial to provide real insight.

The breakthrough moment was the realization that how a person makes a choice is just as important as what they choose. The hesitation or confidence in a decision—measured in milliseconds—is a powerful indicator of true preference.

From that insight, PingPolls was born with a clear mission: to reinvent the survey from the ground up. We set out to build a platform that respects the respondent's time, engages them with a better experience, and empowers the researcher with a layer of deep, quantitative insight that was previously inaccessible.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

PingPolls's answer

PingPolls is built on a modern, strategic tech stack designed for speed, reliability, and powerful AI capabilities.

Infrastructure: Our platform currently runs on AWS (Amazon Web Services), with all data securely stored in North California. This provides a robust and scalable foundation. We also have future plans to migrate to DigitalOcean to optimize our operations.

Core Framework: We use SvelteKit to build our application. We chose it specifically because it helps us create a fast, simple, and highly responsive user interface. For you and your survey respondents, this means a smooth and seamless experience without any lag.

AI Engine: To handle the complex analysis for our Certiscore algorithm and other AI features, we use a system of queued jobs. This ensures the platform remains fast and responsive even during peak traffic. Our AI capabilities are powered by state-of-the-art models from both Gemini and OpenAI’s APIs, allowing us to provide top-tier survey generation and sentiment analysis.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

PingPolls's answer

Our journey to creating PingPolls has been directly shaped by our users from day one.

We initially launched an earlier prototype to test our core concept of measuring preference intensity. The response was fantastic, and it proved that researchers were hungry for a tool that could provide deeper insights.

However, the most valuable outcome was the user feedback. Our initial users told us they needed more—more customization, more question types, and more powerful AI assistance. We listened carefully, and PingPolls is the direct result of those requests.

So, while PingPolls is a new brand preparing for its official launch, it’s built on a foundation of validated user needs from our successful prototype. Many of those early adopters, along with a growing list of market researchers and product teams, now form the core of our waitlist. They aren't just potential customers; they are the community that co-designed the platform's vision.
