Nice! A couple of years ago, I tried something in that direction[1] using Phaser[2], and it was quite fun. I used Tiled Editor[3] to create the map and some pixel art that I purchased from itch.io. What remote sites are you using to search for jobs? If they are the most popular, most are saturated, there are so many people looking for jobs right now! Google Voice is a good option, especially on a budget. I'd just make sure that you are answering the phone every time! Especially if you are going to try running LSAs, or have a website, etc - not answering can negatively impact your results/rankings.
