I have had good success by starting the repair process via the chatbot on the website (lower right corner of https://onepeloton.com). I have found the phone to be less reliable. Calls get dropped, no follow-up, etc. Source: about 4 years ago

Peloton strength classes taken through the onepeloton.com website on chrome running on the PC will gather heart rate data from the Apple Watch on my wrist. However, this sync for heart rate data does not occur immediately, but some time later.
