Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Pause Moment's answer

Most focus and screen-time apps rely on you choosing to open them, or on blocks you can override in the moment. Pause Moment is a structural pre-commitment instead of an in-the-moment willpower test. You decide the time and the message in advance, and the lock holds when the impulse to grab the phone arrives. It is built specifically for people whose in-the-moment executive function is unreliable, including adults with ADHD and parents trying to model phone-down behavior for their kids.

Adults who already know what they want to do but lose the moment to their phone. Three main groups: adults with ADHD whose in-the-moment willpower is unreliable, adults managing attention and presence who want structural backup rather than another reminder, and parents who want to model phone-down behavior so their kids see it rather than hear it lectured.

What makes your product unique?

Pause Moment is the only screen-lock that can't be dismissed the way a reminder is. Standard notifications get swiped away before conscious thought even registers, and escalating alarms train the hand to dismiss faster. Pause Moment locks the full screen silently for a window you set in advance, showing your own photo and your own words. No swipe, no snooze. The decision happens earlier, when your capacity is higher, and execution stays automatic when willpower would otherwise drift.

What's the story behind your product?

Pause Moment was built by a late-diagnosed ADHD adult and father of three after standard reminders kept failing in exactly the moments that mattered. The phone would be in hand at family dinner even right after a promise not to pick it up, because the push notification dismisses before the conscious mind catches it. Reading every put-your-phone-down article didn't fix it. The failure was structural, not motivational, so the fix had to be structural too.
