I haven't used Ditto so I don't know how closely macOS clipboard managers compare to it, but there's certainly a fair number of programs for the Mac out there that sound similar to Ditto's own description, from the free, open source Maccy to the somewhat over-the-top $13 Pastebot. Not what you’re asking for but I paid for pastebot a long time ago and it’s grand. My one request to them was “can you let me edit the clipping” and they haven’t done it yet. But, I installed Tot and I use that to paste into and edit the text. Magic for me was setting the global pop-up shortcut to CMD - . ( period ) ( which, for me, was the best thing about Raycast ). Copy all the things you need from the browser, switch to your IDE and paste one by one in the desired location. While on Windows I used Ditto as it has several cool features. On MacOS I use Pastebot which also comes with some advanced features. As the author of QuickTile, which is written in Python but even closer to what you describe than a window manager would be, I have to say that, yeah, doing X11 stuff takes a lot of knowledge that's not ideally documented in non-print sources. Source: over 3 years ago
Actually, I plan to add a .nojekyll file and then use something like Pelican with custom plugins, then set GitHub Actions to run my update.sh on push... Similar to how http://ssokolow.com/quicktile/ is a Sphinx-based site hosted on GitHub Pages and automatically regenerated from the pushed sources. Source: over 4 years ago

The best I could do for the API documentation for this project of mine was to use the automodule directive to autogenerate at the coarsest level possible and remember to never create new .py files if I could possibly avoid it. Source: about 5 years ago
