About OwndUp and CodeMorph API

In their own words, as submitted to SaaSHub.

OwndUp
CodeMorph API

One missed date can cost thousands of euros. Contracts, certificates, domains, insurance policies and permits sit scattered across spreadsheets and mailboxes, each maintained by one person. When that person leaves, the list goes unmanaged and deadlines slip. OwndUp turns those scattered...

Features and specs

What each product offers, as listed by its team.

OwndUp 3 features
CodeMorph API 5 features
  • Works like you do
Start from a template for contracts, certificates or domains, or link an existing list from SharePoint or OneDrive. No new place to lose things — just an overview of what's already there.
  • Sharing, handover and backup
Every list can be shared with teammates in different ways. If someone falls ill or leaves, the handover is a breeze. Every organisation can set up backup accounts so the business can always keep going.
  • Before it's too late
Expiring certificates, lapsing domains, notice periods coming up. OwndUp warns the owner and the backup, well before the deadline becomes a problem.
  • Convenient RapidAPI Integration
Being hosted on RapidAPI means it benefits from a standardized API testing interface, unified authentication via API keys, and simplified billing alongside other RapidAPI subscriptions, making it easy to test and integrate quickly.
  • Code Transformation Utility
As a code transformation/conversion tool, it can save developers time by automating repetitive code refactoring or conversion tasks that would otherwise need to be done manually.
  • Quick Prototyping
Useful for developers who want to quickly prototype code conversions or transformations without setting up local tooling or writing custom scripts.
  • Accessible Documentation via RapidAPI Hub
RapidAPI's hub typically provides built-in documentation, code snippets in multiple languages, and a testing console, making it easier to understand endpoint usage without needing external docs.
  • Pay-per-use or Tiered Pricing
Like most RapidAPI-hosted APIs, it likely offers flexible pricing tiers (including a free tier for testing), allowing developers to scale usage based on need without large upfront commitments.

Possible disadvantages

  • Limited Transparency on Capabilities
Detailed technical specifications, such as supported languages, transformation types, and accuracy rates, are not always clearly documented on the RapidAPI listing, making it hard to assess suitability before subscribing.
  • Dependency on Third-Party Availability
Since it's hosted by an individual developer (JackLillie) on RapidAPI rather than a major enterprise, there's a risk of inconsistent uptime, slower support response times, or the API being discontinued without much notice.
  • Potential Rate Limits and Pricing Constraints
Free or lower-tier plans typically come with strict rate limits, which may not be sufficient for production-level or high-volume code transformation tasks.
  • Possible Accuracy Limitations
Automated code transformation tools often struggle with complex or highly context-dependent code, potentially requiring manual review and correction after using the API.
  • Niche/Less Established API
Being a smaller, less mainstream API compared to well-known code transformation services, it may have a smaller user community, fewer reviews, and less battle-tested reliability in production environments.

CodeMorph API

Overall verdict

  • CodeMorph API appears to be a niche code transformation/conversion tool available via RapidAPI, offering decent utility for developers needing quick code conversions, though it may lack the depth and reliability of dedicated, well-established transpilation tools.

Why this product is good

  • Accessible through RapidAPI's unified marketplace, simplifying authentication and billing
  • Likely supports multiple programming language conversions for quick prototyping
  • Pay-per-use or subscription pricing model typical of RapidAPI can be cost-effective for low-volume use
  • No need to install or maintain local transpilation tools or dependencies
  • Quick integration via REST API calls into existing development workflows

Recommended for

  • Developers needing occasional quick code snippet conversions between languages
  • Small teams or solo developers avoiding heavy local tooling setup
  • Prototyping and experimentation rather than production-critical code transformation
  • Users already utilizing RapidAPI for other services who want unified billing
  • Educational or learning purposes to see how code translates across languages

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing OwndUp and CodeMorph API.

What makes your product unique?

OwndUp's answer

OwndUp sits in the gap between a loose spreadsheet and a heavy system. You build shareable lists with your own columns for anything with an expiry date, contracts, certificates, subscriptions, domains, and attach reminders that warn you by email and in your calendar before something silently renews or lapses. What makes it different is that every list has an owner who can never fall away: ownership can be handed over, a backup steps in when someone is ill or leaves, and unanswered heads-ups escalate automatically. And it works on what you already have, linking your existing Excel or SharePoint list read-only, so there is nothing to migrate.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

OwndUp's answer

Most alternatives are either spreadsheets that never warn you, or contract management suites that need an implementation project before you see any value. OwndUp is ready in minutes: import your Excel, link a SharePoint list, or start from one of nine templates. You get per-row reminders, expiry dates in Outlook, Google or Apple Calendar, roles for sharing, and continuity built in, so the overview keeps working even when the person who always kept track of it leaves. Pricing is deliberately simple too: two fixed amounts, no per-user fees, and the backup role is always free.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

OwndUp's answer

Small and mid-sized teams, often in the EU, where one person quietly keeps track of contracts, certificates, licences or domains in a spreadsheet. Typical users are office managers, operations leads and finance people who are responsible for deadlines but do not want to run a heavy system. Lite serves individuals watching their own deadlines; Business is for teams that need shared lists, handover and a safety net when someone falls away.

What's the story behind your product?

OwndUp's answer

OwndUp started with a moment most companies recognise: a contract renews silently, or a certificate turns out to have expired, and the money or the valid paperwork is already gone. Usually one person kept track of it all in their own file, and when they left, the overview walked out the door with them. Spreadsheets never send a heads-up, and contract management systems felt like overkill. So we built the middle ground: a smarter, shared spreadsheet that warns you in time and never depends on a single person.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

OwndUp's answer

We have just wrapped up our beta pilot and are not naming customers publicly yet Pilot users were small and mid-sized EU teams tracking contracts, certificates and domain deadlines

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

OwndUp's answer

OwndUp is built on .NET with Blazor Server, EF Core with PostgreSQL for data, and Hangfire for background jobs such as reminders and escalations. It integrates with Microsoft 365 for login and reads SharePoint and Excel lists as a read-only mirror. Billing runs on Stripe, and everything is hosted within the EU, in Frankfurt and Amsterdam.
