  • If a node goes down you have some file pieces stored on, will the sia network find other nodes to store the file pieces on automatically?
It's not hard to run a server with Sia and have it run constantly. I mean that is more or less what filebase does for you. I'm not sure how feasible it is to do it without payment/sign up but I guess http://opacity.io is something you may like, it's going to use Sia soon and there is no sign up. Source: over 4 years ago
  • OPCT Github inactivity
Github commits that you see on https://github.com/opacity are for main/production (opacity.io). We use a test environment for our latest features & fixes so that we can test them out first before pushing them to production. If you have Telegram, I suggest you join our Opacity Github channel. This is where you will also find the latest Github commits of the test site. Source: over 4 years ago
  • App and Web does not talk with each other
That's because the mobile app is not live yet. The app you're using now is on a test network and not connected to opacity.io. That's why you can't use your existing Opacity account with the mobile app. Source: over 4 years ago
