Online 3D Viewer features and specs

  • Accessibility
Online 3D Viewer can be accessed from any device with an internet connection and a web browser, eliminating the need for dedicated software installations.
  • Support for Multiple File Formats
It supports various 3D file formats including OBJ, STL, PLY, 3DS, and more, making it versatile for different 3D viewing needs.
  • User-Friendly Interface
The interface is intuitive and simple to use, which allows users of all skill levels to easily interact with and explore 3D models.
  • No Installation Required
Being a web-based tool means there is no need to install any software, which saves disk space and avoids potential compatibility issues.
  • Cross-Platform Compatibility
As a web application, it works across different operating systems, including Windows, MacOS, and Linux.

Possible disadvantages of Online 3D Viewer

  • Internet Dependency
Requires a stable internet connection to use, which may be a limitation in areas with poor connectivity.
  • Limited Offline Functionality
Unlike desktop applications, offline use is not possible, potentially restricting usage during travel or in offline scenarios.
  • Performance Limitations
Web-based applications might experience slower performance compared to native desktop software, especially with highly complex or large 3D models.
  • Privacy Concerns
Uploading 3D models to view them might raise privacy and security concerns, especially if the models contain sensitive information.
  • Feature Limitations
While useful for basic viewing, it may lack advanced features and customization options available in specialized desktop 3D modeling software.

php eventloop features and specs

  • Simple and lightweight
The library provides a minimalistic implementation of an event loop in PHP, making it easy to understand and integrate into small projects without heavy dependencies.
  • Educational value
As a straightforward PHP event loop implementation, it serves as a great learning resource for developers wanting to understand how event loops and asynchronous programming concepts work under the hood in PHP.
  • Non-blocking I/O support
The library enables non-blocking I/O operations in PHP, allowing developers to handle multiple tasks concurrently without relying on multi-threading, which PHP does not natively support well.
  • Timer and periodic task support
It provides built-in support for timers and periodic tasks, enabling developers to schedule recurring operations or delayed execution within the event loop.
  • Pure PHP implementation
The library is written in pure PHP without requiring external C extensions, making it portable and easy to install across different PHP environments without special compilation steps.

Possible disadvantages of php eventloop

  • Limited community and support
The project has a very small community with minimal stars, forks, and contributors on GitHub, which means limited peer support, fewer bug reports, and potentially slower issue resolution.
  • Not production-ready
Given its small scale and limited adoption, the library may not be battle-tested enough for production environments where reliability, performance, and stability are critical.
  • Limited features compared to alternatives
More established PHP async libraries like ReactPHP, AmpPHP, and others offer far more comprehensive ecosystems with HTTP servers, database clients, and stream handling that this library lacks.
  • Performance limitations
Being a pure PHP implementation without leveraging extensions like ev, libuv, or swoole, the event loop may suffer from performance bottlenecks compared to extension-backed alternatives when handling high concurrency.
  • Poor documentation
The repository has minimal documentation and examples, making it difficult for new users to understand the full API, edge cases, and best practices for using the library effectively.

Analysis of php eventloop

Overall verdict

  • php-eventloop is a lightweight event loop implementation for PHP that provides a solid, minimalistic solution for developers wanting to implement asynchronous, non-blocking behavior without adopting a full framework like ReactPHP or Amp. It's good for learning purposes and simpler use cases, though it lacks the extensive ecosystem, tooling, and production hardening of more established async libraries.

Why this product is good

  • Lightweight and simple to understand, making it easy to integrate into small projects
  • Useful for learning how event loops work under the hood in PHP
  • Minimal dependencies compared to larger async frameworks
  • Open source and available for inspection/modification on GitHub
  • Can be a good starting point for building custom async solutions

Recommended for

  • Developers learning about event-driven programming in PHP
  • Small projects needing basic async functionality without heavy dependencies
  • Educational purposes and understanding event loop internals
  • Prototyping simple non-blocking I/O operations
  • Developers who want full control over a minimal event loop implementation

  • Software 3D scanner. Free on Prusa Printables
In addition to the usual STL, the program simultaneously creates color models (OBJ+MTL files). Just drag these two files into any viewer (for example https://3dviewer.net/), and you will see a colored 3d object. Source: over 3 years ago
  • My new software 3D scanner allows to create anatomical headphones
Thank you for trying the app! It seems to me that the fastest way to set it up for scanning is to view the results in a color viewer https://3dviewer.net/ The program creates two OBJ+MTL files and they need to be dragged to this viewer. When we see a scan in color, we can immediately see what artifacts are due to, due to an object or background. And we can just take a different type of background, more chaotically... • .3ds file loses texture on import and export? Please help
Hi there, I would really appreciate some help, I spent hours looking for a solution... So I've got a folder with a .3ds model with a .jpg texture in it, I can take that and drag and drop to https://3dviewer.net/ for example, and it will display the model with the correct texture. However, if I import that .3ds file into 3ds max scene and export it back, that file will no longer "see" that texture. If I drop these... Source: almost 4 years ago
  • New to blender
It's expected that the exporter will split vertices, giving you multiple meshes where required for materials, sharp edges, split UV's, etc, but the meshes should still be grouped as an object with the name you gave it. Try dropping the file into an online viewer and see if it actually shows them as separate objects. Source: over 4 years ago
  • Using a user-uploaded STL?
Https://3dviewer.net/ seems to be able to view those files. Should be fine using a local file with https://github.com/mrdoob/three.js/blob/master/examples/js/loaders/STLLoader.js with https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/input/file. Source: over 4 years ago
