  • Software 3D scanner. Free on Prusa Printables
In addition to the usual STL, the program simultaneously creates color models (OBJ+MTL files). Just drag these two files into any viewer (for example https://3dviewer.net/), and you will see a colored 3d object. Source: over 1 year ago
  • My new software 3D scanner allows to create anatomical headphones
Thank you for trying the app! It seems to me that the fastest way to set it up for scanning is to view the results in a color viewer https://3dviewer.net/ The program creates two OBJ+MTL files and they need to be dragged to this viewer. When we see a scan in color, we can immediately see what artifacts are due to, due to an object or background. And we can just take a different type of background, more chaotically... • .3ds file loses texture on import and export? Please help
Hi there, I would really appreciate some help, I spent hours looking for a solution... So I've got a folder with a .3ds model with a .jpg texture in it, I can take that and drag and drop to https://3dviewer.net/ for example, and it will display the model with the correct texture. However, if I import that .3ds file into 3ds max scene and export it back, that file will no longer "see" that texture. If I drop these... Source: over 2 years ago
  • New to blender
It's expected that the exporter will split vertices, giving you multiple meshes where required for materials, sharp edges, split UV's, etc, but the meshes should still be grouped as an object with the name you gave it. Try dropping the file into an online viewer and see if it actually shows them as separate objects. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Using a user-uploaded STL?
Https://3dviewer.net/ seems to be able to view those files. Should be fine using a local file with https://github.com/mrdoob/three.js/blob/master/examples/js/loaders/STLLoader.js with https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/input/file. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Photoshop + Blender = killer combo (for using digital props)
The idea is that whenever an investigator would receive a prop they'd instead get a link to a downloadable file. That could be viewed with https://3dviewer.net/. Source: over 3 years ago
  • When i export an obj from blender and import it into 3ds max 2013, it collapses on itself.
Check if it's the import or the export by opening it in another app, some viewer like 3D-Viewer.net. Then check the settings in that. Source: over 3 years ago
