PlaylistPro is a free tool for organizing Spotify playlists and Liked Songs, built for people whose libraries have grown too large to manage by hand.

At its core, it lets you transfer tracks between playlists (or Liked Songs) with multi-select, moving or copying to one or several target playlists at once, and batch that same operation across multiple source playlists in a single pass. The Playlist Splitter breaks a playlist or your entire Liked Songs into multiple new playlists by count, genre, BPM, key, or other audio features, with a preview before anything is saved. The Playlist Lab sorts tracks by audio features like BPM, key, and energy, and removes duplicates, with undo support. A Target Playlist Manager keeps a shortlist of frequently-used playlists on hand so transfers do not require scrolling your whole library each time. Separate Insights pages cover Top Tracks, Top Artists, and Recently Played, each with the option to save the list straight into a playlist.

PlaylistPro is the successor to Divide for Spotify, a small tool built years ago after piling up thousands of unorganized liked songs. It has no backend and no database: playlists and tracks are read and written directly between your browser and Spotify, nothing passes through a server beyond that. Analytics, where used, are pseudonymized and opt-in.

It is aimed at active Spotify users: people who like songs often and need to organize the backlog, DJs and curators sorting by BPM or key, and anyone curious about their own listening history. All core features are free, with no account required beyond Spotify itself.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing OnePatch and PlaylistPro.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

PlaylistPro's answer:

Spotify users who manage playlists actively DJs Curators

What makes your product unique?

PlaylistPro's answer:

PlaylistPro combines a genuine playlist splitter (by count, genre, BPM, key, or other audio features) with bulk multi-playlist transfer, insights, sorting, and deduplication, most tools only do one of these. On top of that, it has no backend and no database: your playlists and liked songs are read and written directly between your browser and Spotify, nothing passes through our servers.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

PlaylistPro's answer:

Most Spotify organizers either focus on sorting/analyzing or on splitting, not both, and most require an account beyond Spotify itself. PlaylistPro does both in one place, stays free for all core features, and its privacy architecture (no server-side storage, pseudonymized analytics, consent-gated) is stricter than what larger competitors publish.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

PlaylistPro's answer:

Spotify users who manage playlists actively: people who like songs often and need to organize the pile, DJs and curators, and people who want insight into their own listening, like searching (or revisiting) a recently played track or seeing their most-listened songs and artists.

What's the story behind your product?

PlaylistPro's answer:

It grew out of Divide for Spotify, a small Python/Flask tool I built years ago after piling up thousands of unorganized liked songs myself. PlaylistPro started in 2023 as its proper successor, gained Spotify's extended API access in May 2024, and has since grown to hundreds of monthly users through SEO and word of mouth alone.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

PlaylistPro's answer:

React and TypeScript on Vite, Mantine for UI, Zustand for state management, hosted on Cloudflare Pages with Cloudflare Functions for the Spotify OAuth backend, Sentry for error tracking, and PostHog for privacy-first analytics.
