Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing OctoCoach.app and StackGo.

What makes your product unique?

OctoCoach.app's answer

Almost every poker tool on the market works on your math: HUDs, trackers, GTO solvers. OctoCoach works on the part that actually costs most players money - the mental game. It detects tilt in real time during a session and talks you through it, keeps a living psychological profile of every opponent you log, and reviews your sessions honestly afterwards. It is a coach and a journal, not another stats dashboard

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

OctoCoach.app's answer

Trackers and solvers tell you the correct play. They do nothing when you are steaming at 1am and about to spew a buy-in. OctoCoach is built for exactly that moment: an AI coach (chat and voice) that knows your history, your opponents, and your emotional patterns, available 24/7. A human mental-game coach costs $100+ per hour. OctoCoach is $12/month, with a free forever tier for logging and stats.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

OctoCoach.app's answer

Serious recreational and semi-professional poker players, online and live, cash and tournaments. People who already understand strategy but keep losing money to tilt, bad session selection, and emotional decisions. Players who want to work on discipline and the mental side, not just hand charts.

What's the story behind your product?

OctoCoach.app's answer

OctoCoach was built by me, a poker player who realized his biggest leak was not strategy, it was the mental game - and that every tool out there ignored it. Existing software measured everything except the thing losing me money: tilt, ego, and bad emotional decisions. So I built the coach I wished I had. One that is always available, remembers every session and opponent, and tells the truth.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

OctoCoach.app's answer

A Progressive Web App built with React, TypeScript and Vite, installable on any device. Backend on Google Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Cloud Functions). The AI coaching layer runs on large language models (Anthropic Claude and Google Gemini), with real-time voice. Tailwind CSS for the interface.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

OctoCoach.app's answer

OctoCoach is used by individual poker players who value their privacy. We do not publish customer names - discretion is part of the product.
