There there use to be a stronger distinction between Text Editors and IDEโs. Of course there is a wide spectrum from something like โnanoโ to Microsoftโs Visual Studio (not VScode) On macOS, BBEdit has had SFTP since the late 1990s. Flashcards/spaced repetition is a great way to get familiar with concepts and terms for memorization based subjects.
