I've never been enticed by a landing page (yes, datapoint of one). It's either recommendation from source I trust (which has included reddit) and some demo/review available somewhere. There there use to be a stronger distinction between Text Editors and IDEโs. Of course there is a wide spectrum from something like โnanoโ to Microsoftโs Visual Studio (not VScode) On macOS, BBEdit has had SFTP since the late 1990s. Https://blokada.org/ Blokada 5 is free. It blocks ads and trackers system wide. It works in all games and apps I checked for the last 4-5 years. Used to work with YouTube as well, but not any more. You can read about Blokada here https://blokada.org/ and their v6 will also be in your App/Playstore but as said is subscription only. Lucky Android users can keep scrolling down until you see v5 offered which is completely free (not in Playstore btw). Unfortunately v5 isn't available for iOS.
