Event loops are a paradigm for processing events different than your typical single-threaded or multi-threaded application. Your request gets broken down into async "events" that are executed in a loop to improve performance and minimize synchronization across threads. It is famously used by Node.js as the backbone of their event processing and also by several other technologies like Redis and Nginx. - Source: dev.to / 6 days ago

TypeScript / Node.js: Excellent for building asynchronous backend systems that must stream text data smoothly to thousands of users simultaneously. - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago
Because Node.js operates on a single-threaded asynchronous runtime, it is inherently vulnerable to processes that hog the CPU for too long. You will learn how to use mkcert to generate wildcard certificates and the minimal configuration needed in the Caddyfile and docker-compose.yml to get it all working. - Source: dev.to / 4 months ago

Surprised no one's mentioned Everdo! It's basically just a Nirvana clone but better. Source: over 3 years ago
I'm still new to GTD and working on it, but have you used Everdo? Working up to using it; it's on a list lol. Source: about 4 years ago
Try Everdo, its offline-first but you can still sync over LAN for free and has mobile apps, too. The free version has all features enabled and only a handful of limitations. Its also frequently updated. Source: over 5 years ago
