There's nim [1] which is aiming for the same thing - syntax similar to python and performance similar to C++, zig etc. 1 - https://nim-lang.org/. - Source: Hacker News / 15 days ago
> GC languages are slower This is not necessarily true. It depends on a language, e.g. Go is slow, Nim[0] is extremely fast with conventional GC and slightly faster with ARC/ORC[1]. GC programs can be faster than manually managed ones in some cases. It's just manual memory management gives you more control of where and when free is called. And a good type system is a privelege that gives Nim more control with... - Source: Hacker News / 20 days ago

That's actually a great argument for Nim[0]. Easy interop with C, native-speed performance, and a syntax very close to Python in both readability and how quickly you can get something working. Batteries included, automatic memory management without a conventional GC and metaprogramming - is a really cool combination. [0] - https://nim-lang.org/. - Source: Hacker News / 3 months ago
Coincidentally, just a few days ago, I tried to run Nim[0] on Windows XP as an experiment. And to my surprise, the latest 32-bit release of Nim simply works out the box. I built this browser extension many years ago and I got an offer for it. I'm planning to sell it for ~20k using the escrow.com. Source: over 2 years ago
Another secret: Always read the policy of place that buyer offer for paying and stay away from direct deal, for example escrow.com and PayPal are where the most naive seller get scammed, buyer send payment on Goods&Services and use dispute option and take back his money after securing the account,. Use a reputable escrow service such as escrow.com. They send the money, it's held by the third party service until they receive the info then once received the money is released to you. Fee is slight and better than being scammed. This one may be legit but the next probably not. Why take the chance. Source: about 3 years ago
I had selected escrow.com as payment method, because I have used it before, and while expensive, I trust that process. Source: about 3 years ago
Shipping for $50+ is free. I accept Cash App, Chime, FB Pay, GPay, escrow.com (buyer pays fees, I cover shipping & insurance), and using a middleman. Source: about 3 years ago
