When we benchmarked this against other services, we could not find another service that could import and run even modestly complex projects in the way described above. Many platforms are excellent at running frontend applications, such as Netlify and Vercel, but we have not found any that really try to handle full-stack projects, monorepos, development environments, production environments, databases, and service... - Source: dev.to / 2 months ago

For developers building for the web, understanding these trends is increasingly important. Users are becoming more privacy-conscious and seeking alternatives to algorithmic feeds. Tools like Netlify and Vercel are making it easier than ever to deploy independent websites, while privacy-focused tools like 1Password are helping users manage their digital identities across multiple platforms. - Source: dev.to / 4 months ago
All three themes are designed for accessible deployment. You can host them for free on Netlify, GitHub Pages, Vercel, or Cloudflare Pages. The only cost is a domain name (which can be as cheap as $5/year on Porkbun). - Source: dev.to / 5 months ago
Another hosting alternative similar to Github pages. Netlify can support dynamic sites too, but with limitations. Try it now at: Https://netlify.com. - Source: dev.to / 12 months ago
Funny that this pops up now, yesterday I was looking into using rss2email [1] and migrate all my RSS reading workflow inside mutt. Ultimately I decided against it because I like being able to use a web-app based reader (Tiny Tiny RSS [2]) both on my work computer and my phone for RSS. So: who or what do you follow via RSS feed, and why? - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
Tiny Tiny RSS is still awesome, twelve years later. It is super-easy to self-host: https://tt-rss.org/. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
I self-host Tiny Tiny RSS (https://tt-rss.org/). I think it will do everything you want (and more). The web UI is fine, and the Android app is great. It's actively developed, has been around for over a decade (I have been using it since Google Reader shut down) and has been super stable. I guess the only thing it doesn't have that a SaaS offering could do would be some sort of recommendation engine (which I have... - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
Ttrss (https://tt-rss.org/) self hosted. When Google Reader shut down I switch to feedly for a bit, don't remember now why but for some reason I didn't like it. So I started self hosting my own instance of ttrss and haven't looked back since. - Source: Hacker News / almost 2 years ago
