I am using Motion [0] since years. At least for basic stuff, is easy to configure and very flexible. For more advanced configuration, it required a bit of tuning. [0] https://motion-project.github.io/. - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago
We mounted the webcam on the coffee machine and installed Motion on the Raspberry Pi. It gave us a simple web interface that streamed frames from the camera โ perfect for keeping an eye on the machineโs display. - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
I appreciate this and will look into it eventually. Years ago, I used Motion[0] on a pi, laptop and desktop, configured to sftp the motion-activated images to a remote server. Actually better to build the app locally, easier to test with IDE like Pycharm. Then upload to the net. Source: about 3 years ago
Hello, I have a Minecraft server running on a Rpi with Paper. It works great and I use it to play with some of my friends. I don't want to buy a domain, so I want to try and setup a system where the server sends Its IP to my PythonAnywhere... Source: over 3 years ago
Hosting wise, I would reccomend pythonanywhere.com, combined with either https://imagekit.io or https://cloudinary.com. Source: over 3 years ago
So what is the best alternative? I have one Plotly Dash app on pythonanywhere.com where I spend 6 bucks a month so I don't want to spend anymore than 5 dollars per month on the PHP + MySQL. Source: over 3 years ago
