Nodes can expand themselves, asking their own follow-up questions to grow a researched subtree. Zoom out and every node summarizes itself down to a keyword, so a map with a hundred branches stays readable at a glance.

The AI models are remarkable, but the chat box we use them through is not.

I spend most of my day working with LLMs, and the same frustrations kept repeating. A chat is built to be disposable: you work something out, it ends, you never open it again. It is the wrong shape for how ideas arrive, because one answer gives you several follow-ups and asking one means abandoning the rest. There is nowhere to put a note beside an answer, or to sketch a rough outline and let the model fill in the parts you are unsure about. Getting a second opinion from another model means two subscriptions, two tabs, and copying context between them. And none of it carries over, so a month of real research becomes a pile of old conversations to sort through.

A mindmap is much closer to how thinking actually works. But the mindmaps we had were designed before AI, so the best they offer is turning text into a static diagram, and you end up back in ChatGPT pasting answers across.
