MapComplete
uMapMapComplete might be a bit more popular than uMap. We know about 23 links to it since March 2021 and only 20 links to uMap. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
Just want to point out that this user is the creator of the wonderful tool MapComplete (https://mapcomplete.osm.be) which helps you adding more information to the data available in the OSM database. If you have some free time and have local knowledge of your area, I really suggest giving this tool a try, you can choose between multiple themes (which will show different quests) and add info that you know the most. - Source: Hacker News / almost 3 years ago

They aim for a simple (aka reduced) editor to use - if they work out some of the technical issues - they kind of deliver that promise. But of course, I like MapComplete more as "simple editor". (Disclaimer: that's what I made). Source: over 3 years ago
The reason that I haven't pursued a gamification approach with https://mapcomplete.osm.be is twofold: - I'm focusing on other usability issues (and features) first. - Source: Hacker News / over 3 years ago
Https://umap.openstreetmap.fr/en/ https://umap.openstreetmap.de/en/ probably more instances out there, you can also host your own. - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago
I haven't tried but I bet you could also import it into a uMap. Source: over 3 years ago
If you prefer not to use proprietary, walled-off services like Strava I recommend Umap which has some great map editing Functionality and allows sharing links or even exporting the maps as JSON. Source: over 3 years ago
I'm not hosting it myself but I'm using the open-source OSM uMap (https://umap.openstreetmap.fr/en/) with a custom layer that points to a GeoJSON endpoint on my webserver. Source: over 3 years ago
That being said, http://umap.openstreetmap.fr/en/ exists. This is a website where one can make a small map, personal or shared with friends who can edit. Source: over 3 years ago
