Mattias Geniar and Freek Van der Herten founded Oh Dear in Belgium in 2018. Mattias Geniar brought an infrastructure and security perspective, while Freek Van der Herten brought a web-development perspective. Together, the founders built Oh Dear to monitor the complete health of a website rather than uptime alone. Oh Dear has continued to grow through pragmatic product development and direct customer feedback.
