MakeSOP was born from personal frustration.

As an operations consultant and IT professional, I was spending 4+ hours creating a single SOP from client meeting recordings. The process was exhausting: - Watch the entire video - Take detailed notes - Organize content into logical steps - Format everything professionally - Add prerequisites and quality checks

After creating 100+ SOPs this way for various clients, I realized this was a problem everyone faced but no one had solved specifically.

Tools like Scribe required performing actions live while recording screenshots. Trainual was for managing existing documentation. Notion was just a text editor. No tool let me simply upload an existing meeting recording and get a professional SOP automatically.

I built MakeSOP in November 2024 using no-code tools (Lovable.dev), Supabase, AssemblyAI for transcription, and OpenAI for structuring. The goal was simple: turn what takes 4 hours into 5 minutes.

Launched on November 8th, 2024, as a solo founder bootstrapping through IT consulting work ($2,100/month). Building in public and shipping fast. Currently serving operations teams, consultants, and training professionals who value their time.
