MacUncle Reviews

  1. Don't Bother...

I am having problems with MacUncle Mbox Viewer that need to be answered. I have tried repeatedly to contact Technical Support to no avail. No one answers the telephone. The Live Chat fails to open. No reply to Email. So my questions go unanswered.

  2. Money back guarantee is total BS

There website offers a 30 day money back guarantee - it's BS. They only offer a refund if the copy you download won't work, and then only you work with them to make it work and it remains dysfunctional. This is a legal requirement in any event - if you buy something and it doesn't work, you're entitled to a refund without question!!

I simply bought the wrong product, haven't used it and will never use it. They refuse to refund me.

  3. Horrible software and terrible support

TERRIBLE. I bought the conversion for thunderbird to gmail. Could not open due to security issues with apple. Spent 3 days getting MacUncle to have help session. Finally got tech with poor english skills. Had chat session for over two hours during which time finally got software to work only to be told had to spend more money to get upgrade for gmail format. I pitched a fit as gmail format was what I had orginally purchased and they gave the new key for upgrade for free and still could not get it to port converted files into gmail. I finally gave up having wasted the $30 bucks. Meanwhile they use Team Viewer which is a bitch to get off your computer when you are done....I would NOT recommend this software or this company

PyGrid was the first one. A command-line solution for X11-based desktop with Python3 installed. It's pretty easy to setup and I strongly recommend. Source: over 4 years ago
  • Looking for a Wayland (Gnome) compatible window placing/sizing tool
I've been using a combination of pop_shell (for window focus{north, south, east, west} keybinds and a pleasing focused window border) and a slightly modified version of pygrid which is a fork of QuickTile to manage sizing and placement of windows for a while. My pygrid setup mimics spectacle or rectangle window placement and keybinds. Essentially I have: Ctl+alt+right - Move window to top right corner with 33%... Source: over 4 years ago
