New ISP says modem is NOT compatible, but that same modem was used in this very apartment with the carrier this ISP rents from. Are they incorrect?
If you just tell them that your model is the one on their list, there's a chance that their system will uncover the lie, as the chipset of a modem can be determined from it's mac address (https://maclookup.app/). You can try, but I would guess their system won't even allow it to be added unless it's on the corporate compatible list. Source: over 3 years ago
