Analysis

An editorial look at what each product does well and who it suits.

LiveSend
Selfcommit.dev

Overall verdict

  • LiveSend appears to be a niche tool designed for sharing and tracking PDF documents or similar content with recipients, offering link-based sharing and engagement analytics. It can be a good fit for users who need lightweight document tracking without complex infrastructure, though it may lack the depth of features found in more established platforms.

Why this product is good

  • Provides simple link-based document sharing without requiring recipients to sign up
  • Offers tracking analytics such as views and engagement on shared documents
  • Lightweight and easy to set up compared to enterprise document management systems
  • Focused feature set makes it straightforward to use for its specific purpose

Recommended for

  • Freelancers or small business owners sharing proposals or pitch decks
  • Sales professionals wanting to track client engagement with documents
  • Individuals needing a simple alternative to heavier document tracking platforms
  • Users who prioritize ease of use over advanced enterprise features

Overall verdict

  • Selfcommit.dev appears to be a niche accountability/goal-tracking tool aimed at helping individuals commit to personal or professional goals, but there is limited widespread public information, reviews, or track record available to fully verify its quality, reliability, or long-term support.

Why this product is good

  • Focuses on personal accountability through structured commitment tracking, which can be motivating for self-improvement
  • Likely has a simple, developer-friendly interface given the '.dev' domain branding
  • May offer a lightweight, distraction-free alternative to bloated habit-tracking apps
  • Could be a good fit for solo builders or indie hackers who prefer minimalist tools

Recommended for

  • Individuals looking for a simple self-accountability or commitment-tracking tool
  • Developers or indie hackers who prefer niche, no-frills apps over mainstream productivity suites
  • Users comfortable trying newer, less established platforms
  • People who want lightweight goal or habit tracking without complex features

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing LiveSend and Selfcommit.dev.

What makes your product unique?

LiveSend's answer

LiveSend is the only platform that combines a permanent shareable link, client-facing viewer with email-gated analytics, inline visual editing, and versioning, all designed for non-developers who create interactive HTML with AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or v0. Competitors either require coding skills (Tiiny.host, Static.app), target internal teams behind SSO (display.dev), or flatten deliverables into static PDFs (DocSend). LiveSend keeps the deliverable alive and interactive while giving the sender full control and visibility.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

LiveSend's answer

Other tools solve hosting. LiveSend solves the full delivery workflow. You paste your HTML, get a pro link, know exactly who opened it and for how long, protect it with a password or expiration, and fix a typo inline without re-prompting. No terminal, no deployment, no technical knowledge. If you create interactive reports with AI and share them with clients, LiveSend is the only tool built specifically for that workflow.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

LiveSend's answer

Consultants, marketers, analysts and freelancers who use AI tools to create interactive HTML deliverables (reports, dashboards, one-pagers) and need to share them professionally with external clients. They are not developers. They do not want to learn deployment tools. They want a clean link, tracking, and the ability to make quick edits.

What's the story behind your product?

LiveSend's answer

I was using Claude to generate interactive HTML reports for clients and realized the last mile was broken. The report looked great inside the AI tool, but the moment I needed to share it, my only options were email attachments, screenshots, or PDF exports that killed the interactivity. I built LiveSend to bridge that gap: paste, share, track, edit. DocSend proved this model works for PDFs. LiveSend brings it to the interactive HTML era.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

LiveSend's answer

Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Supabase (PostgreSQL), Stripe, Vercel, Resend.
