Yes. And harder to mine. The reward for miners becomes 6 coins instead of the twelve you receive when proofing (finding) a block. The value does happen right away.. Initially created in 2017, Blockstack was trying to decentralize the internet by building it with blockchain technology and Dapps (decentralized apps).
