LinuxPatch.com was born out of a need for a more efficient and user-friendly solution to managing Linux patches across diverse environments. The founders, experienced in IT and cybersecurity, recognized the challenges organizations face in keeping their Linux systems up-to-date and secure. They aimed to create a tool that simplifies this process through automation, AI-powered vulnerability management, and an intuitive interface. Their goal was to empower IT teams to maintain robust security with minimal manual intervention, leading to the creation of LinuxPatch.com.

BeepSweep exists because of the gap between being called and knowing why.

Voicemail has been the standard answer to that for decades, and almost nobody uses it any more: callers hang up on the beep, and the people who do leave a message only say "call me back". You end up with a name and a number and no idea whether it can wait.

So we started at that specific problem rather than at "answer the phone with AI". First: make the missed call readable. Then, for people who want more, let the AI actually take the call.

Built in the Netherlands by Basinc bv in Dongen. The free tier, the AI receptionist, live transfer and calendar booking are all live, and the paid plans can be bought.

LinuxPatch.com is built using a modern stack of reliable and scalable technologies. It leverages a combination of cloud infrastructure for scalability and remote patch management, AI-driven algorithms for CVE vulnerability scanning and reporting, and lightweight, cross-platform agents for seamless deployment across various Linux distributions. The platform also integrates automated orchestration tools to streamline patch scheduling and execution. The focus on automation, security, and multi-distro support makes LinuxPatch.com a highly efficient solution for managing Linux servers.

Two separate systems with a signed link between them.

The app runs on Node.js with Express, server-rendered Nunjucks templates and Postgres. The front end is plain JavaScript with no bundler, plus a service worker for push notifications and offline use.

The call engine runs on Python with FastAPI, built on pipecat, and uses OpenAI's gpt-realtime for speech to speech. There is no separate speech recognition and speech synthesis step in between. Telephony runs over Telnyx with TeXML, audio in G.722 wideband.

Between the two sits an HTTP link signed with HMAC-SHA256 in the Stripe style. The call engine posts conversations and events to the app and pulls its configuration and routing from there.

Hosting is in Amsterdam on Fly.io. Sensitive fields such as summaries, transcripts, phone numbers and keys are encrypted in the database with AES-256-GCM.
