One of my best recommendations is to spin up a linux server in the cloud, you can do it for free for a few months from linode.com for example. Those accounts are the 'dev accounts', we don't charge for that. If you create an dev account you have access to the exact same development resources as I do as a Mendix employee (or paying customer).
