How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Lingoodie's answer

Mainly 13 to 25 year olds who are interested in small side or pocket-money earnings and are comfortable watching rewarded adverts in exchange for them. In practice that skews towards students and early-career users.

Geographically it is broad. PayPal support extends withdrawals to more than 200 countries, and the strongest engagement currently comes from the United States, United Kingdom, India, Nigeria, and Germany.

It is a poor fit for anyone who wants a serious structured course, and for users who find the earnings too small to be motivating. Earnings are in the range of pocket money, not income.

What makes your product unique?

Lingoodie pays learners real money for completing lessons. Points earned in a lesson convert to a cash balance that can be withdrawn to Revolut or PayPal, and the app itself is free to use.

The reward shapes how the app is built. Lessons are short and genuinely completable, and there is a cap on how much can be done in one sitting, because the aim is a daily habit that holds rather than a long session that never repeats.

What is paid out is real currency, not in-app coins, gift cards or entry into a prize draw, which is the usual form this kind of promise takes.

Lingoodie started from a mismatch anyone who has used a language app will recognise. Most learners do not give up because the lessons are bad. They give up because they stop opening the app, usually within the first few weeks.

Free language apps ask for a learner's time and attention and give back progress bars. Lingoodie was built around a simpler question: what if part of what that attention is worth went back to the learner, as real withdrawable cash rather than points or badges?

It is a different trade rather than a better version of the same thing.

Lingoodie suits someone who already knows their problem is consistency rather than content. What it offers instead is an external reason to show up on the days motivation is thin, paid in real money, with no subscription to keep. For learners who have started and abandoned a course more than once, that is usually the binding constraint.

It works well as a second app alongside a primary course rather than as a replacement for one.
