Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing LingoDeer and YouLearnt.

What makes your product unique?

YouLearnt's answer:

YouLearnt combines a tutor marketplace with a full learning management layer in one platform. Unlike pure marketplaces that just connect tutors and students, YouLearnt also offers virtual classrooms, AI-powered assessments, and institutional management tools, so it works for individual learners booking one-to-one sessions as well as schools and institutions that need a complete LMS and content management solution. This dual B2C and B2B model under one roof is what sets it apart.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

YouLearnt's answer:

YouLearnt serves two main audiences. The first is individual learners and their families looking for vetted tutors across subjects and levels. The second is educational institutions, such as schools, colleges, and training providers, that need classroom tools, content management, and oversight across their student body. The platform is designed so both audiences can use the same underlying technology with the features each one needs.

What's the story behind your product?

YouLearnt's answer:

YouLearnt was founded with the idea that tutoring should not stop at simply matching a student with a tutor. Founder Yaser Selim built the platform to bring the entire learning experience, virtual classrooms, assessment, and progress tracking, into one place, rather than leaving families and institutions to stitch together separate tools for booking, video calls, and tracking results. What started as a UK-based tutor marketplace has grown to include institutional features, reflecting demand from schools and organisations that wanted the same quality of tools for their own students.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

YouLearnt's answer:

YouLearnt gives learners and institutions more than a booking system. The AI-powered assessment tools provide real insight into a student's progress, the virtual classroom is built specifically for tutoring rather than adapted from generic video call software, and the platform scales from a single parent booking a tutor to an institution managing its entire curriculum and student base. It is a UK-registered platform with strong data protection practices, including formal GDPR documentation for institutional clients, which matters for schools and organisations evaluating EdTech vendors.
