I'm on the free plan, all the basic options to run a project are there and the mail notification/comment system works very well. The user interface is good. My only complaint is that you cannot have more than one person assigned to a task. It's their philosophy and they say that if you want to have more assignees you should either duplicate the task or create subtask (only for paid plans).

I think some of this might come down to stack as well. I watched a t3.gg video[1] recently about Convex[2] and how the nature of it leads to the AI getting it right first time more often. I've been playing around with it the last few days and I think I agree with him. In one of my previous companies, we had a separate project on GitHub (think of it as a Jira epic) where we collected various feedback after every release.
