Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing LaunchRender and mailfomo.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

mailfomo's answer:

Three reasons. First, most timer tools charge $20–$50/month for basic functionality and clunky editors that haven't been updated in years — Mailfomo has a generous free tier and modern UI. Second, Mailfomo is the only timer tool with a built-in AI campaign planner that helps you strategize your urgency campaigns, not just generate a countdown image. Third, setup takes about 30 seconds: pick a template, customize it, copy the embed code, and paste it into any email platform — Mailchimp, Klaviyo, SendGrid, Shopify, WooCommerce, or anything else that supports images.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

mailfomo's answer:

Email marketers and e-commerce store owners who run promotional campaigns and know urgency works but are frustrated by the tools available. This includes Shopify and WooCommerce store owners running flash sales, marketing managers at SaaS companies driving trial sign-ups, and agencies managing email campaigns for multiple clients. Typically small to mid-size businesses where the person building the email is also the one deciding on tools.

What's the story behind your product?

mailfomo's answer:

We run a web studio and build email campaigns for clients regularly. Every time we needed a countdown timer — for a flash sale, a product launch, an event registration — we'd go looking for a tool and hit the same wall: overpriced plans, outdated interfaces, and way too much setup for what should take 30 seconds. We kept thinking "someone should build a better version of this." Eventually we realized that someone was us. We built Mailfomo to be the tool we wished existed — fast, modern, AI-assisted, and free to start.

What makes your product unique?

mailfomo's answer:

Mailfomo combines live countdown timers with an AI-powered campaign planner — something no other timer tool offers. Instead of just generating a timer image, Mailfomo helps you plan the entire urgency strategy: what type of countdown to use, when to send, and what angle works best for your goal. The UI is modern and bold (built with a neobrutalism design philosophy), which is a stark contrast to the dated, generic interfaces most competitors still run. And everything works with a simple image embed — no JavaScript, no plugins, no platform lock-in.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

mailfomo's answer:

Mailfomo just launched, so we're in the early adopter phase. Our current users include:

Independent Shopify and WooCommerce store owners running flash sale campaigns Email marketing specialists at small SaaS companies Digital marketing agencies managing campaigns for multiple clients Solo founders and operators who handle their own email marketing

We're growing fast and focused on serving email marketers who value speed, modern design, and simplicity over legacy feature bloat.
