Lapsewise is a renewal and expiry management tool. It tracks everything in your business that has a deadline attached, and warns you before any of it lapses.

One engine, every expiry Seven modules share one dashboard: Certifications, Contracts, Grants, Licenses, Insurance, Warranties, and Memberships. A safety certificate, a vendor contract, and a grant milestone all live in the same view, sorted by what's due next. No tool-switching, no duplicate data.

Reminders that respect timezones Add a date once and get an automatic email reminder before it lapses, sent at 8am in each person's own local timezone. For contracts and subscriptions, Lapsewise reminds you before the cancellation-notice deadline, not the renewal date, so you act while you still can.

Date-first, not document-first Most tools are a filing cabinet with alerts bolted on. Lapsewise starts with the date that matters: how soon, who owns it, what proves it, who gets reminded. Drop a PDF onto any record to attach it; documents live in private, tenant-scoped storage.

Analytics + branded reports (Pro) See your renewal spend by month and module, an upcoming-cost forecast, and export a polished, logo-branded PDF or CSV.

Pricing Free: 1 user, 5 records. Starter $19/mo: unlimited records, CSV import. Pro $49/mo: AI document parsing, SMS reminders, analytics. Enterprise: custom. Annual = 2 months free.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Lapsewise and Sortly.

What makes your product unique?

Lapsewise's answer

Most tools track one kind of expiry. A contract tool for contracts. A certificate tracker for certificates. Lapsewise tracks them all in one calm dashboard: certificates, licenses, contracts, vendors, grants, insurance policies, warranties, and memberships. One engine, every renewal and expiry date.

The other difference is when it reminds you. Lapsewise warns you before the date, and for contracts it's aware of the notice period, so it reminds you before the cancellation window closes, not on the renewal day when it's already too late. No more "we found out the week after it lapsed.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Lapsewise's answer

Because you probably don't need eight separate subscriptions and a spreadsheet to keep track of what's expiring. Contract-lifecycle platforms are powerful but priced and built for legal teams. Single-purpose trackers only cover one record type. Lapsewise sits in the middle: it covers every type of renewal in one place, it's simple enough to set up in an afternoon, and it's priced for small teams.

You also get reminders that don't depend on one person remembering, document storage attached to each record, timezone-aware email alerts (SMS on higher plans), and an audit trail. It starts free, so you can prove it works on your real renewals before paying anything.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Lapsewise's answer

Small and mid-sized businesses, operations and compliance managers, office managers, finance teams, and anyone who currently keeps renewals in a spreadsheet or in their head. Typical users are tracking a mix of things: business licenses, ISO and safety certificates, insurance policies, vendor and SaaS contracts, equipment warranties, grant deadlines, and memberships.

It fits any organization where a missed renewal has a real cost, whether that's lost coverage, a lapsed certification, an auto-renewed contract nobody wanted, or a clawed-back grant, but that isn't big enough to want a heavy enterprise compliance suite.

What's the story behind your product?

Lapsewise's answer

Lapsewise came out of a simple, recurring frustration: the things that quietly lapse are never in one place. The certificate is in one folder, the insurance renewal is in an email, the contract notice period is buried in a PDF, and the one person who remembered just went on holiday. Something always slips.

So we built one engine around a single idea: a record, with a date, with a document attached, that reminds you before the date, shown on a dashboard of what's coming up. That engine now powers tracking for certificates, contracts, grants, licenses, insurance, warranties, and memberships. The promise is the whole product: never let it lapse.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Lapsewise's answer

Next.js (App Router) and React TypeScript Supabase (PostgreSQL, Row Level Security, Auth, Storage) Tailwind CSS with shadcn/ui Resend for email reminders and Twilio for SMS escalation Stripe for billing Vercel for hosting
