JobbTrakr is job management software built for trade contractors and field service businesses across Australia and New Zealand — electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, landscapers, carpenters, and more. It replaces spreadsheets and paper-based systems with a single platform covering the full job lifecycle, from quote to payment.

Create professional quotes in minutes, complete with line items, markups, and digital signature approval. Once approved (via SMS, email, or in-app), quotes convert into scheduled jobs with one click. A drag-and-drop scheduling calendar with daily, weekly, and monthly views prevents double-booking, and jobs can be assigned across teams with status indicators for quick visibility.

Invoicing is GST-compliant out of the box, with your ABN automatically included, optional late payment fees, and flexible payment terms per customer. Payments can be accepted via Stripe, bank transfer, or cash, with full payment history tracked against every invoice.

Inventory management covers stock levels, supplier catalogs, preferred suppliers, and stock takes, with materials automatically allocated and deducted when linked to jobs. Asset management tracks client equipment — service history, hours/kms, and upcoming maintenance — so recurring service jobs are never missed.

The built-in customer database holds job history, payment status, credit limits, and notes, while team management supports up to 30 users with role-based access, timesheets, and clock in/out approval workflows.

JobbTrakr is a Progressive Web App that works on any device — phone, tablet, or desktop — with offline mode for on-site use without internet. All plans include unlimited jobs, quotes, and invoices, audit logging, and data export, with pricing scaling by team size and a 30-day free trial (up to 3 users, no credit card required).

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing JobbTrakr and OnePatch.

What makes your product unique?

JobbTrakr's answer

JobbTrakr covers the full job lifecycle — quote, schedule, invoice, get paid, and track inventory and assets — in one platform built specifically for AU and NZ trade contractors.

  • Native support for both AUD and NZD, with GST tax compliance in each country
  • Progressive Web App with offline mode — works on any device, no native app install needed
  • All features included at every pricing tier, scaling simply by team size
  • 30-day free trial, no credit card required

What's the story behind your product?

JobbTrakr's answer

JobbTrakr started in 2025 when a small team of developers and tradespeople noticed a gap in the market. Existing job management software was either:

  • Too expensive — pricing out small contractors and solo operators
  • Too complicated — built for enterprises, not tradies in the field
  • Mobile-unfriendly — required a desktop computer for basic tasks

So the team set out to build something that works on any device, handles both AUD and NZD with proper GST compliance, and takes minutes — not weeks — to learn.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

JobbTrakr's answer

JobbTrakr is built for small-to-mid-size trade teams (up to 30 users) who need the full quote-to-payment workflow without paying enterprise prices.

  • Includes bank reconciliation and credit notes — features many competitors in this space don't offer
  • Transparent pricing that scales with team size, with no core features locked behind higher tiers

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

JobbTrakr's answer

Trade contractors and field service businesses across Australia and New Zealand — electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, landscapers, carpenters, and similar trades.

Ranges from solo operators to teams of up to 30 people who are currently relying on spreadsheets or paper-based systems, or have outgrown simpler tools.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

JobbTrakr's answer

  • Frontend: React 18 + TypeScript + Vite
  • UI: Tailwind CSS + shadcn/ui
  • Backend: Supabase (PostgreSQL + Auth + Storage)
  • State management: TanStack Query + Zustand
  • Forms: React Hook Form + Zod
  • PDF generation: @react-pdf/renderer
  • Email: Resend

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

  • Solo electricians and small electrical contracting teams
  • Plumbing and gas fitting businesses
  • HVAC and refrigeration technicians
  • Landscaping and property maintenance contractors
  • Carpentry and construction trades
