Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing JavaScript Operator Lookup and Twitter Mark.

What makes your product unique?

Twitter Mark's answer:

Twitter Mark is local-first: synced X/Twitter bookmarks and likes, indexes, tags, settings, and history stay in your browser's local database instead of a hosted archive. Sync is read-only—it never posts, likes, follows, or removes items for you. It combines incremental/full sync, search, filters, custom tags, resumable background jobs, and JSON backup/restore in one Chrome extension.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Twitter Mark's answer:

Choose Twitter Mark if you want a private, user-controlled archive rather than another cloud feed or X automation tool. It handles both bookmarks and likes, keeps archive data on your device, provides read-only and resumable sync, and lets you export and restore JSON backups. A useful free tier is available, while Pro Lifetime is a one-time purchase with no monthly expiry.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Twitter Mark's answer:

Twitter Mark is for people who deliberately save useful posts on X and later struggle to retrieve them—researchers, creators, developers, students, and other knowledge workers who want a personal reference library. It especially suits privacy-conscious users who prefer local storage, read-only access, search, tagging, and portable backups.

What's the story behind your product?

Twitter Mark's answer:

Twitter Mark began with a simple problem: saving posts on X is easy, but finding them again later is not. It was built to turn bookmarks and likes into a fast, searchable local archive while preserving privacy and user control. The result is a read-only Chrome extension with tagging, filters, resilient sync, and JSON backup and restore.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Twitter Mark's answer:

Twitter Mark's Chrome extension is built with TypeScript, React, WXT, and Dexie on top of IndexedDB. It uses a Manifest V3 browser-extension architecture and stores archive data locally. The commercial companion site uses React and TypeScript on Cloudflare Workers, with Stripe handling one-time Pro purchases.
