Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing JavaScript.com and Run a Call.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Run a Call's answer:

ServiceTitan costs $40K+ in early termination fees, takes 6–12 months to onboard, and is priced for 20+ tech enterprise shops. Jobber and Housecall Pro are friendly but lack the dispatch board and pricebook depth HVAC shops need past 8 techs. Run a Call gives you ServiceTitan-grade ops without ServiceTitan-grade pain — flat price, no contracts, free white-glove migration, and founders on Slack instead of a CSM rotation. We publish pricing on the website. No demo gating.

What makes your product unique?

Run a Call's answer:

Run a Call is built around the kitchen-table moment — the point in a service call where a tech presents options to a customer. The tablet-first estimate presentation isn't a bolted-on feature; it's the core wedge that drives close rate. Pair that with flat $499/mo pricing, no contracts, no per-tech fees, and days-not-months onboarding, and it's the first FSM built specifically for residential HVAC shops with 5 to 25 technicians.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Run a Call's answer:

Residential HVAC shops in the US with 5–25 technicians and $750K–$10M in annual revenue. Owner-operators who still answer phones on busy days and want to see close rate by tech on Monday morning. Typically migrating from ServiceTitan (overpaying, locked in), Jobber or Housecall Pro (outgrown), or paper and whiteboards (ready to digitize).

What's the story behind your product?

Run a Call's answer:

The HVAC shops we worked with were stuck. ServiceTitan trapped them in 2-year contracts with $40K early termination fees and onboardings that never finished. Jobber and Housecall Pro were easy to use but lacked the real dispatch board and kitchen-table presentation that drives revenue at 5+ techs. The 5–25 tech sweet spot had nowhere to go that didn't either over-serve enterprise or under-serve the most important moment of the job — the close. So we built it.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Run a Call's answer:

  • Early customers are residential HVAC shops across the US, ranging from 4 to 25 technicians
  • Public case studies coming Q3 2026
