All the concerns are already being done or can be done. A screen recorder would not add any new ability. I did not mention but users have admin rights on their laptop and can install pretty much any software they want. If this was an actually harmful concern, the current way of doing things would stop. This is the approach I use in most of my hobby projects. It's simpler, and faster and there are no loading screens. In my kindle-clippings-manager (https://github.com/karlosos/kindle_clippings_webapp) uses its sync engine to store the data in Web Storage.
