Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing IssuePilot.app and BugHerd.

What makes your product unique?

IssuePilot.app's answer

The customer feedback channel is part of the issue tracker, not a second product bolted on.

Most small teams run a project tool and a separate feedback widget, then keep both in sync by hand. In IssuePilot it is one product: clients report through a snippet on your website or through a personal portal link โ€” no account needed on their side. The report arrives with an annotated screenshot plus browser, OS, viewport and console data attached, and lands in the same inbox as your internal work. From there it is a normal issue with priority, assignee, labels, blockers and a cycle.

Two smaller things that usually live in separate tools are also included: time tracking with a timer, and an encrypted vault for client credentials with an audit log.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

IssuePilot.app's answer

Three concrete reasons, and one reason not to.

You replace two subscriptions with one. A project tool plus a dedicated feedback widget typically costs $40โ€“100 per month on top of your seats; here the widget and the client portal are part of the Pro plan, and client contacts never count towards your seat price โ€” you only pay for your own team members.

You can start the same day. There is no configuration project: no workflow modelling, no custom field schema. Tasks, board, list, projects and cycles work right after sign-up. Pricing is one flat rate of โ‚ฌ4.90 per active member per month, with no tiers and no seat minimum.

Your data is covered. Everything is hosted in Germany, GDPR-compliant, with a data processing agreement on request. Interface and support are available in English and German.

The reason not to choose it: if you need modelled workflows, heavy automation, SSO/SCIM, Gantt charts or GitHub/GitLab/Slack integrations, IssuePilot does not do those and they are not on the roadmap. Jira is the better fit in that case.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

IssuePilot.app's answer

Teams of roughly 2 to 50 people who work on software or websites for others or on their own product.

Four groups use it most. Agencies and web teams, who need client sign-offs and change requests to stop scattering across email, chat and phone. Software teams, who want bugs, blockers, cycles and releases in one place. Product teams planning a roadmap with milestones. Support and QA, who triage incoming reports before they become tasks.

It is a poor fit for large organisations with their own process frameworks, and for anyone needing enterprise identity management.

What's the story behind your product?

IssuePilot.app's answer

IssuePilot came out of a web team's own day-to-day work, not out of a corporation.

For years, feedback arrived from everywhere: by email, in chat, as a screenshot, mentioned in a meeting. Tracking down what had actually been reported regularly took longer than fixing it. No existing tool was a proper fit โ€” some were too heavy to set up, others had no way to collect feedback directly from a website, and almost all of them kept the data somewhere in a US cloud.

So the team built the tool it had been wishing for: one place that covers the whole path from a report to a finished task, with a widget that pulls feedback straight from the website, and with the data staying in Germany. It is developed and operated by Schneider & Liska Webservice, founded 2026.
