You write a note the way you would tell a colleague: "Met Daniel after the investor breakfast, he moved to Google Cloud, his son Michael just turned one, follow up next month." Intriq reads that, works out who it is about, and files each detail onto that person. There are no fields to fill, no forms, and no pipeline stages to keep current.

Two design decisions make it different from a normal CRM.

Answers are grounded. Retrieval runs only over your own notes, and every fact carries an evidence trail back to the note it came from. If you never wrote something down, Intriq tells you it does not know rather than inventing a plausible answer. Getting a model to reliably decline turned out to be harder than getting it to answer, and it is the part that matters most when the subject is a real person.

It reads what you wrote rather than sitting in the room. The conversations where memory matters most are often the ones where a recorder is least welcome: a coffee, a corridor, a client who says no. Reading what you chose to write down covers more ground than recording what you could not.

A personal CRM usually asks you to keep a database healthy: fields to complete, contacts to enrich, a pipeline to keep current. That upkeep is where most people quietly stop. Intriq asks for one honest sentence after a conversation and does the filing itself, so the work is a few seconds at the exact moment you still remember the detail.

It is private by construction, not by policy. Your memory is stored on your device and encrypted, and Intriq is single user by design. Nothing is pulled from your inbox, your calendar or LinkedIn, so the only things in it are the things you chose to write down. Cloud sync is available, but it is optional rather than a precondition for using the app.

Answers are traceable. Ask what you know about someone and every fact comes back with a link to the note it came from, so you can check it before you rely on it in front of a real person.

It is genuinely built for the phone. Capture by text or by voice on iPhone and iPad, including recording from an Apple Watch, with a companion web app for any browser on any operating system.

Intriq is deliberately scoped to one job and tries to do it thoroughly: remembering the people you meet, as an individual, so the next conversation feels remembered.

The common thread is not a job title, it is a specific friction. You meet enough people that you cannot hold the detail in your head, your work depends on the next conversation feeling remembered, and the thing you forget is never the name. It is that they changed roles, or their child just started school, or you promised an introduction three weeks ago and never made it.

It suits individuals rather than teams. Intriq is single user by design, so it fits the person who owns their own relationships rather than a group sharing one pipeline. Plenty of people also use it for the non-work half of that problem: family, friends, and the people they keep meaning to check in on.

Most users are on iPhone, with the web app covering everyone on Android, Windows, macOS, Linux or ChromeOS.

It started with a specific, repeated embarrassment: walking into a second meeting having forgotten the thing that actually mattered. Not the person's name, but that they had moved teams, or that their child had just started school, or a favour that was promised and never done.

The first version was a recorder, because that is the obvious build. It turned out to be the wrong one. The hardest engineering problem was not getting a language model to answer. It was getting it to decline. A model that free-associates about a product is annoying. One that free-associates about someone's mother-in-law is unusable. So retrieval is restricted to your own notes, every fact carries an evidence trail back to its source, and when the note is not there the honest answer is that it does not know.

Intriq is built by Fang Ventures Private Limited in Singapore and shipped on the App Store in May 2026.

iPhone and iPad. React Native on Expo, written in TypeScript. Storage is local-first: notes and person records live in SQLite on the device, so capture and recall work with no connection. State is Zustand, navigation is React Navigation, animation is Reanimated. There is a companion Apple Watch app for voice capture.

Web. Next.js with React, TypeScript and Tailwind. It shares the same core domain logic as the mobile app through a bridge layer rather than being a separate reimplementation, so behaviour stays consistent across platforms.

Backend. Supabase, which is Postgres with row-level security for sync, plus edge functions that handle audio transcription, embeddings for semantic search, and the structured extraction that turns a free-text note into facts attached to the right person.

AI. Language models are called server-side through those edge functions rather than from the device, and retrieval is constrained to the individual user's own notes.

Billing. RevenueCat for App Store subscriptions, Stripe for the web.
