While building a website that required importing data from REST APIs and RSS feeds into WordPress, we found that existing plugins either handled only part of the workflow, required multiple paid add-ons, or depended on third-party automation services. We wanted a single solution that could connect external data sources, automate imports, transform data, and publish directly inside WordPress. That experience led to the creation of Ingestics—an all-in-one content ingestion platform built to simplify WordPress automation.

Ingestics is built primarily using PHP and the WordPress Plugin API, with JavaScript for the administrative interface, HTML and CSS for the user experience, and MySQL through WordPress for data storage. It integrates with REST APIs, RSS/Atom feeds, XML, CSV, OAuth 2.0, webhooks, WordPress Cron, and AI services such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google Gemini where supported by the selected license tier.
