>It lets the user browser with cover art, descriptions, trailers, sorting by release date, rating, etc. It keeps track of watched and unwatched movies. Infuse [1] is a nice way to get these features on Apple TV and iOS devices while simply sharing files via SMB. 1. https://firecore.com/infuse. - Source: Hacker News / about 1 month ago

I use Infuse on my Apple TV to access my videos on the network. It can pick up media from a samba share (or probably any other network share). There's more info on their site: https://firecore.com/infuse It can also serve as a front end for a Plex server if you run that. While this isn't "local files", it works well and serves a similar purpose. Note: there is a very fair, cheap monthly/yearly/lifetime... - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
Not downsizing exactly, but I 'm still on my iPhone 12 mini. Partly because I prefer the smaller screen but also because its still very fast and reliable. Arc was first recommended to me by a fellow developer, and it immediately felt like the browser Iโd always wanted but never quite found. In a previous article, I mentioned that unlike Arc Browser, Zen does not allow pinned tabs to be organized into folders (at this point), which I found inconvenient. Arc Browser is available on Windows, macOS and Linux (no, negative point). It's based on Chromium, so if you've already used Chrome, you won't feel out of place. Installing it couldn't be easier: go to the official website and download the version corresponding to your operating system. - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
