It handles multiple sites from one shared provider pool and includes a dedicated ACGME-aware mode for EM residency programs โ€” all from a mobile-friendly portal with no app to install.

CoverED started because its founder, an emergency medicine physician, was rebuilding his group's schedule in a spreadsheet every month โ€” and no matter how much time he spent, someone always felt they got stuck with the nights or the bad weekends. He built CoverED to do that work automatically and fairly, with the night-rest, equity, and turnaround rules that matter in EM baked in. It grew from that personal pain point into scheduling software made specifically for EM groups and residency programs.
