The site is a Hugo static build. HTML, CSS, a bit of vanilla JS. Push to main, a GitHub Action runs hugo --minify, and the result lands on GitHub Pages. No server to babysit. - Source: dev.to / about 1 month ago

Migrating a blog off WordPress or Ghost. If you are moving to a static site generator like Astro, Hugo, or Jekyll, every post needs to be a .md file. PaperMod is a clean, fast Hugo theme. What it doesn't give you out of the box is a component library: no callouts, no numbered steps, no before/after comparisons. If you write tutorials or technical posts, you end up compensating with blockquotes and bold text where purpose-built components would serve the reader better. - Source: dev.to / 4 months ago

They're just reformatted reproductions of the Stack Overflow Documentation project which shut down August 8th, 2017. The information within is becoming more and more out of date. Goalkicker is a bit deceitful in the way they indicate the last update of thier material which doesn't apply to the content but only formatting. Goalkicker has never, to the best of my knowledge updated the content in any meaningful way. Source: almost 5 years ago
