  Most times it was a reddit clone, like voat (which was reddit, but racist) and the actual alternatives were different enough to almost be off putting (like https://hubski.com/ - no images). Source: over 3 years ago

• I have trouble getting past signing up on social media

  I couldn't get past sign up two times, once on answermug.com (the admins wouldn't respond when I mentioned my account wasn't approved, and asked why) and hubski.com (I can log in, but I can't post or comment and the admins still haven't... Source: over 3 years ago
