Tildes VS Hubski

I think they'd rather have one community rather than multiple communities oriented around different subjects. I don’t think comments make a story more visible on HN, it’s not like https://tildes.net/ My belief actually is that visibility of posts is suppressed if they get, say, 20 comments and already have 50 votes. I really like Tildes https://tildes.net/ which is less focused, more about everything (god I wish I could frontpage an article about sports on HN) but has a much higher ratio of discussions to links (e.g. Ask HN is a joke) I have invites. - Source: Hacker News / 7 months ago

Most times it was a reddit clone, like voat (which was reddit, but racist) and the actual alternatives were different enough to almost be off putting (like https://hubski.com/ - no images). Source: 11 months ago

I couldn't get past sign up two times, once on answermug.com (the admins wouldn't respond when I mentioned my account wasn't approved, and asked why) and hubski.com (I can log in, but I can't post or comment and the admins still haven't responded to my emails about my problem). Have you tried hubski? It looks like it could use some new members to revive the site a little. I keep thinking I should make the effort to switch, at least for a while, and start posting content over there. Source: about 3 years ago
