Big thanks to the AWS docs team, the Kamal maintainers, and Hetzner for keeping hosting affordable. Hope this saves you the same headaches I ran into. Now back to building. - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago
Sure, if you still want it: https://hetzner.cloud/?ref=WwByfoEfJJdv I guess it gives you 20 euros in credit, too. That's nice. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
Self hosted Gitlab instance is an option. The only cost is hosting (personally I am using hetzner.com CPX31 instance, 16โฌ for 160GB a month but you can add 1TB volume for 45โฌ a month if you need more space). Just keep in mind that Gitlab needs about 8GB RAM to work correctly (it crashes on 2 and is only kinda stable on 4). You can also use an older computer or a NAS if you prefer to go that route. Personally, I use hetzner.com's dedicated line, so I rent a full piece of physical server hardware. AmazonAWS is gross. Source: almost 4 years ago

After starting the project called socketify.py at https://github.com/cirospaciari/socketify.py, I got pretty good results and reviews, but many people asked if socketify.py could be used to create a WSGI and ASGI server. WSGI and ASGI have a lot of overhead, that's is why I choose not to use them in the first place, but adding an ASGI and WSGI server allows a lot of code already written to run faster!
