WeeChatHastebin is particularly recommended for developers and anyone else who needs a fast, no-frills way to share text and code snippets without the overhead of account creation or the complexities of larger platforms. It's ideal for quick debugging sessions, code reviews, and other temporary sharing needs.
WeeChat is recommended for advanced users who enjoy using command-line interfaces, developers looking for a customizable IRC client, users who require a lightweight client that can be adapted for various needs, and individuals interested in automating IRC interactions through scripting.
hastebin might be a bit more popular than WeeChat. We know about 24 links to it since March 2021 and only 17 links to WeeChat. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
There's a guide on the subreddit wiki on how to format code for display on reddit. When in doubt, you can also use GitHub Gist or Hastebin, though. Source: over 4 years ago
In future, use code formatting or put your code into hastebin.com and then post a link here. It will make it easier to read. Source: over 4 years ago
If you want to post a log, you'll have to generate one first (go to settings > logging and set both logging verbosities to 0-debug and 'log to file' to ON, then do whatever you need to do to create the offending behavior; that should make the log. Then, open the resulting log in a text editor and copy/paste the contents somewhere like hastebin.com and post a link to it here). Source: over 4 years ago
Close RetroArch, then navigate to your 'logs' folder in your RetroArch user directory (if you can't find it, open RetroArch and go to settings > directory and see where your 'logs' directory is located). You should see a text file there. Copy/paste its contents somewhere like hastebin.com and then post a link to it here and I/we can take a look. Source: over 4 years ago
Can you give me the entire command history that got you to where you are now? If you can do that, make sure there is not personal information in the history, especially passwords. Look at the output of history. If it's large, try hastebin.com . Source: over 4 years ago
WeeChat[0] with Bitlbee[1] supports a metric assload of services, albeit by pretending they're IRC (which does work - I spent years in weechat/irssi with bitlbee talking to various people on disparate services.) Or if you're just after Telegram/WhatsApp, nchat[2] is ok (I can vouch for the Telegram half only.) [0] https://weechat.org [1] https://wiki.bitlbee.org [2] - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
And UnrealIRCD still rocks. For a quick-and-dirty setup I've deploy ng-ircd but Unreal has always been my go-to for anything serious. If nothing else it can be useful as a backup or internal platform during the rare events that Slack or Discord are having an incident. The common complaint is a lack of channel back-log but it can be front-ended with TheLounge [1] or Convos [2]. I personally prefer to handle... - Source: Hacker News / almost 3 years ago
With this particular linked page, it's just the change log. The actual website is at https://weechat.org/. - Source: Hacker News / about 3 years ago
The link posted was to the dev blog, the actual website can be found at [0]. On the blog, the right side menu under "Links" also links to the website. [0] - https://weechat.org/. - Source: Hacker News / about 3 years ago
Iโm afraid youโre in the wrong subreddit. This subreddit is dedicated to WeeChat the IRC client., not the proprietary messaging app built by Tencent. Source: about 3 years ago
