Possible disadvantages

  • Limited Feature Set
Compared to more established Git clients like GitKraken, Sourcetree, or Fork, CommitCat may lack advanced features such as built-in merge conflict resolution tools, advanced branch visualization, or deep integration with CI/CD pipelines.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Harmoni Innovations and CommitCat.

What makes your product unique?

Harmoni Innovations's answer

Most idea management tools focus on collecting ideas and stop there. Harmoni goes further by giving managers clear accountability to act on every submission, and giving leadership a way to direct the whole company with specific challenges and problem statements.

It also combines an employee-facing ideas portal with a company portal for rewards, recognition, and announcements, making it a single hub for employee engagement rather than a standalone suggestion box.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Harmoni Innovations's answer

Harmoni is built for growing businesses that want to get more from their workforce. The primary buyers are HR leaders, People & Culture teams, and senior leadership at companies with 100-500 employees who feel that good ideas are getting lost in group chats and meetings, and want a proper system to capture and act on them.

What's the story behind your product?

Harmoni Innovations's answer

While working at a previous company, our founder Arron wanted to run an innovation challenge across the business. With no dedicated platform, he built one manually, a template document sent out to the whole company asking people to submit their ideas.

It worked. The quality of ideas that came back was genuinely impressive, and many of them were built on and taken forward. But the process was slow, repetitive, and hard to scale. It was clear that the concept was sound but the infrastructure wasn't.

That experience led to Harmoni. A platform built to do properly what that spreadsheet was doing roughly, giving every employee a structured route to raise ideas, and giving leadership a simple way to put specific challenges to the whole company.

Harmoni also draws on Harvard's timebox methodology, using a guided brain dump approach to help employees articulate their thinking clearly before submission. And rather than asking companies to change how they work, Harmoni is designed to slot into the hierarchy and processes most organisations already have in place.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Harmoni Innovations's answer

Harmoni is built on React and Django, with MongoDB for data storage. It is hosted on Vercel & Heroku and uses the OpenAI API to power its AI idea analysis features.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Harmoni Innovations's answer

  • Clear Pricing - Flat organisation price: £99/month up to 50 employees, £249/month for 51–150, £399/month for 151–400, £699/month for 401–1,000, £1,199/month for 1,001–2,000. All employees included, no per-seat charge, cancel any time. No on-boarding or implementation fees like other Enterprise competitors
  • Reward & recognition - system that makes idea submission genuinely worthwhile for employees
  • AI-Powered Idea Analysis - Helps employees structure and articulate their ideas clearly before submission, so that what reaches managers is already well-formed and easy to act on.
  • Innovation Challenges - let leadership direct the whole company around specific problems
  • Simple interface - Encourages participation without requiring any training
