Physion is a free browser-based 2D physics simulator. Draw rigid bodies (circles, rectangles, capsules, polygons, gears, text and polylines), connect them with joints and springs, then simulate liquids, soft bodies and particle emitters. Boolean shape operations and a scriptable laser raycast are built in. Any object can carry a JavaScript node script, so scenes can react to collisions, measure themselves or drive their own motors.
Nothing to install: it runs in the browser, which is what makes it usable on locked-down school hardware and Chromebooks.
Free to use, with optional paid plans.

'time scrolling by' with alias of clock time displayed everytime 'enter'/'return' pressed[0a][0b] would seem a bit easier to do than pop-up physics demo with 'clock displaying time flying through demo virtual space[1].
