With the Dockerfile support, you can deploy any stack on it: GO, Rails, Spring Boot, Laravel, etc. And it's very easy to deploy as well, and it has the same experience as deploying a frontend application. Will see in this blog by creating a simple Golang server and deploying to Vercel. - Source: dev.to / about 2 months ago
Go is an open-source, statically typed, compiled language designed at Google for simplicity, reliability, and efficiency. It ships with a rich standard library, first-class concurrency primitives (goroutines and channels), and produces single, statically-linked binaries โ making it an excellent fit for microservices and containerised workloads. - Source: dev.to / 2 months ago
Unlike Go where the language definition itself via its compiler strictly enforces the inclusion of modules (i.e., include exactly what you use, no more, no less), neither the C nor C++ language definitions have an equivalent enforcement. This can lead to two problems:. - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago
The difference was the language. OpenCode is written in Go. Aider is Python, Cline is TypeScript running in the VS Code extension host. For a tool that spends its time reading files, parsing diffs, and piping text to an LLM, Go's concurrency primitives and fast startup matter more than they should. OpenCode opens the repo, loads a file tree, and is ready to accept a prompt in under 150ms. Cline, running inside VS... - Source: dev.to / 4 months ago
I measured gateway overhead (not LLM response time) using a standardised Go benchmarking harness:. - Source: dev.to / 4 months ago
Yes! I'm currently using https://espeak.sourceforge.net/, so it isn't especially fun to listen to though. Additionally, since I'm streaming the LLM response, it won't take long to get your reply. Since it does it a chunk at a time, there's occasionally only parts of words that are said momentarily. Also of course depends on what model you use or what the context size is for how long you need to wait. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
You might try espeak or - for something that looks more feature-rich - festival. Source: over 3 years ago
Hey! Iโm mute too and Iโve been wanting to stream. So far Iโve decided on using eSpeak https://espeak.sourceforge.net/, a text-to-speech app for PC that allows commercial usage. You might also be able to find online text-to-speech that allows commercial usage, it just might take awhile to find. Depending on the time of content you make you could also dedicate part of your layout to a spot you could type in and... Source: over 3 years ago
Can someone point to a good open source alternative for vocaloid? I know of Sinsy [0] but I couldn't get it working. Ecantorix [1] is very old and rudimentary (it uses espeak underneath [2]). Searching just now I see OpenUtau [3] but I have no experience with it. Seems crazy there isn't a good FOSS solution for this. The closest that I know of is espeak, https://espeak.sourceforge.net/ . It certainly doesn't cover all of the IPA though. Source: almost 4 years ago
C++ - Has imperative, object-oriented and generic programming features, while also providing the facilities for low level memory manipulation
NaturalReader - Main Feature: Full Common Functions: Read Text Files o Text files o MS Word files
Python - Python is a clear and powerful object-oriented programming language, comparable to Perl, Ruby, Scheme, or Java.
Balabolka - Balabolka is a Text-To-Speech (TTS) program.
Crystal (programming language) - Programming language with Ruby-like syntax that compiles to efficient native code.
Simple TTS Reader - Simple TTS Reader is a small clipboard reader. Simply copy any text, and it will be read aloud.
