They rely on points and discounts, but they donโt tap into emotion, recognition, and a sense of progress, which keep customers coming back. As co-founders of RapidMule and former leaders in the sports vertical, weโd seen firsthand how gamification could turn passive users into passionate communities. Also, we saw how difficult it was for businesses outside gaming to implement these mechanics without huge costs, long development times, or deep behavioral design expertise.
